Deniliquin, north of the border

Just north of the Victorian border, Deniliquin or “Deni” as the locals call it, is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Home to the Blues and Roots Festival and the Deni Play on the Plains, Deniliquin is most known for its annual Ute Muster which holds the Guinness World Record for the most Utes gathered in one location. The beautiful Edward River runs through the town, providing the perfect playground for water-skiers and wake-boarders, or for those looking for a quiet fishing spot and suitable accommodation or caravan park.

Enjoy natural serenity in our national park walking tracks, or explore the rich culture within the Peppin Heritage Centre. Whether you’re looking for fine dining or a hearty pub meal, Deniliquin delivers!

Take a look around...

RSL Club

There’s always something happening at the Deniliquin RSL! Our accommodation & caravan park is located directly across the road from Car-o-Tel, and open 7 days a week, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer and a great meal. With live music every Saturday night, and a dedicated kids' corner, everyone’s welcome at the club.

Deniliquin is nature at its finest! Starting at McLean Beach, and following the Edward River, take the time to enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of nature, finishing at Willoughby's Beach. A gorgeous walk through the sanctuary and past some of Deniliquin’s most popular attractions, one of the best ways to take in all Deniliquin has to offer.

Bird Watching

Deniliquin's Wetlands, Forests and Sanctuaries provide natural habitats for a huge range of native birds. With over 100 species observed in the Island Sanctuary alone, the area’s organic beauty attracts these gorgeous creatures and encourages them to call home.

Deniliquin Golf Club offers 18 carefully manicured fairways, meandering through the gorgeous waterways and natural forests. A mecca for native birds and animals, this picaresque course stretches near the Edward River, and offers an onsite bar & bistro where you can enjoy a hot meal and a cold beer.

Relax by the River

Enjoy a picturesque picnic or BBQ on one of Deniliquin’s gorgeous riverbanks. Explore the secluded beaches for a bit of sun baking or have a splash at one of the swimming spots. The Edward River is a peaceful lesser-known alternative to the nearby Murray River, making it ideal for a little quiet relaxation.

Home of the iconic Murray Cod! The Edward River is famous for its great fishing, specifically the Murray cod and other native fish, including Yellowbelly. This is a fisherman’s paradise and the chances of catching something to truly be proud of are high!

Water Sports

Whether you’re after adrenalin pumping action or a gentle sight-seeing experience, the Edward River has it all! Meandering through the magnificent red gum forest, downstream is the fast paced playground for motorised sports, while upstream is perfect for canoeing or kayaking.
